Grahams Ezzy's visit
06/06/2006
Graham Ezzy stopped by over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of June to meet everyone at the windsurf club and Ezzy test centre. Graham brought with him some of the new 07 Ezzy SE sails and gave us the full tune up. Unfortunately we had the most windless weekend of the year but had a chance to learn a lot about the new sails.
Graham showed us the full quiver and explained about the new developments on this year’s sail which include, reduced downhaul tension, new triple stainless steel pulley block stitched into the sail, increased double seam stitching throughout the sail. Also the profile and shape of the sail has been changed dramatically for this season with more shape towards the luff. The effect of this design will increase low end power and top end control.
Dave Ezzy’s design on this 07 sail will be the first wave sail ever produced with so much tension built into the leading edge of the sail. In tests they recon there is a massive jump in extra performance over the 06 range. New Luff tube material has been added this season which prevents masts from puncturing the luff tube if the mast breaks while you are windsurfing.
This flying visit was a short stop off on the way through for Graham’s attendance at the PWA in Guincho and then Pozo.
