JP CUSTOM SUP
We have been working with John JP custom over the last 4 years on different custom versions from his shaping base in Wales. Neal Gent, Matt Argyle, Jim Richardson, Ollie Shilston, Emile Kott, Rossco Moore and myself all ride JPs. These custom boards have something different over most production boards. What we like is the surfboard feel, surfboard flex, thin surfboard style rails and shapes that are up to date. If you balance this with the extra benefit of weight 7kg (8.0) and you can adjust volume and size to fit your weight .
These new SUPS come off a CNC shaping machine so there is no guess work in making sure shapes are accurate. Boards come with a 5 fin FCS fin set as standard are supplied with the basic futures 2 fin sets. We have boards at the beach at 2XS @ West Wittering Beach so you can come a try and take a closer look. If you want specific advice please get in touch with me (Simon) so I can help sort out the specific size and model .
This model is a progressive shape that is versatile and works in small and decent size surf – it has more spread volume distribution so paddles smoothly out through surf and is stable. It has a quick responsive feel when you take off even in the smallest surf and soon as you get your foot back on the tail pad it rides like a surf sup should.
- Epoxy built carbon inegra (carbon lattice ) to reinforce the deck
- Rails are well reinforced
- FCS handle
- Choice of FCS 2 or US style centre fin box
As these are custom boards we use a couple of JP- SUP templates so depending on your ability we can make sure you have the right board. It takes a couple of conversations with us or come down a test a few boards – once you have chosen it will take approx 6 weeks to get your board.
