2019 ISA World StandUp Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championship

James Arnell -Smith has just returned back to UK from the 2019 ISA Worlds in Surf City on El Sunzal Beach in EL Salvador. He was part of a ‘Team England’ after qualifying in 2nd place overall at the BSUPA SUP Surf Nationals. James who lives in West Wittering has been surfing/windsurfing since he was 5 and he started out with the 2XS kids program right here on the beach. He also is pretty handy at windsurfing too coming 2nd overall in BWA Cornwall Classic windsurfing in Gwithians BWA Wave Classic in sept 2019.
We all are pretty stoked for James and he really has put the time in on the water (many, many, hours) and his dad Steve who went with him to El Slavador spent many wet hours spectatinb/lifeon the beach supporting James and making sure he always made it back in .
James had some pretty tough heats in the comp –we watched the live event and he surfed well –against some of the best Sup surf riders in the world –James now has a ISA World Ranking of 25th in the world not bad for a kid from West Wittering.
Thanks also to Fanatic Uk –Nik Baker for helping James with new FANATIC Pro Wave 7.6 .
